TOGS FOR DOGS.NET LIMITED are committed to keeping your personal details safe at all times.  We never sell or make your details available to anyone for any purpose, except where you have given your consent and where there is a legal requirement to do so.

This privacy policy is to make you aware of what information we collect, how we store it, how we use it and how you can access or delete it.

We have taken the opportunity to update our privacy policy in line with the new data laws which came into effect on 25 May 2018 and we have made it easier to understand what your rights are and how we use your data. We are not changing the ways in which we use your data and our commitment to treat your information with the utmost care and respect will not change.

How we collect information


When you place an order through our website we need your name and address to process your order and get your order to you.  We also request your telephone number, this will ONLY be used by me if there is a query regarding your order.  We also require your email address so that we can send you order updates or address any queries relating to your order.     If you place an order over the telephone we will ask for the same information as above, for the same purposes. We will also request payment information at the same time.


Cookies are small text files used by most websites. Cookies collect information whilst you are browsing to  provide you with a smooth experience when navigating the website. We use essential, or session cookies which remember you as a user and records items you place in your shopping cart, things you may save to your favourites and for carrying out purchases and sending messages relating to your purchases.  You can disable cookies on your computer, however if you do this, you will be unable to purchase through the website and your browsing experience will not be as efficient.   There are essential cookies which enable our shopping cart to work, you to access your account details or view orders.    We use Google Analytics to see what pages of our site are most popular and that collects some data on how people use our website, what type of devices, but doesn't collect personal data.

Who has access to your information?

We have access to data for the purposes of processing orders and providing you with customer service.   We never pass your information on to a third party unless required to do so by law or for the purposes of completing your transaction (card processing, posting an item etc).

We will never sell your information to anyone, ever.

Third Party Services:

Payments made through the website are handled securely and data is only kept for as long as it takes to process your payment.  

Payments made over the telephone are processed through a card machine. We adhere to the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). PCI-DSS requirements help to ensure the secure handling of credit card information by TOGS FOR DOGS.NET LIMITED and its’ service providers.  PCI-DSS subscriptions are checked and renewed annually.

Our website is hosted by Artemis Media. They provide us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. They also provide technical support when needed and only access data necessary to debug or deal with an issue, should it arise.

We use Royal Mail and CollectPlus to send your orders to you they have their own strict privacy policies in place and we are confident that your details are safe with them and that they are only used to deliver your parcels.

Generally any third-party providers used by us will only collect and use your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.  For example, providing payment gateways to enable you to complete your purchase.  These providers have their own privacy policies regarding your purchase related transactions and they will have the policies visible on their websites.

How your information is used:


If you place an order,  we use the information you have provided to enable me to send your order to you and for essential internal record keeping in line with HMRC requirements.

How your information is stored:

We take all reasonable precautions and follow best practices to ensure that we keep your information safe, data on the site is encrypted.


Your order information is stored on my computer and in my accounts system.  All computers and devices are password protected and/or finger print protected.  Firewalls and up-to-date anti-virus protection are in use at all times.

If you order over the telephone and use your credit/debit card, we do not keep the full details, only those details we are required to keep by our card processing company, and then only for the length of time they stipulate.  


If you contact us by email asking for information, with a query or to make a booking, then your emails will be stored as above, on a password protected computer/device, with up-to-date firewalls and anti-virus protection in use at all times.

How long we store your information for:


We only keep your information for the purpose of accounting and tax purposes, currently 6 years.  After this time any paperwork or records are destroyed.

What are your rights?

You can ask us at any time to provide you with the personal information which I keep.  We will provide these details to you in a timely manner and at no cost to you.    You have the right to ask us to delete or amend these details at any time and we will do so.   Please note that we are unable to delete information which is needed for accounting or tax purposes.   You can login and update your account details here

Changes to the Privacy Policy:

Our privacy policy will be assessed on a regular basis and updated as and when necessary, in the event of changes to any of the above or if we are required to do so by law.  Any changes will appear here on this page and you can access this at any time you wish.
